Choosing Your First IGET Disposable, Starting From the Flavour Name

Published by the igetvapor team

Picking a first IGET disposable usually starts with a device question: One or Bar Pro, the bigger number or the smaller one. It goes better the other way round. Find the flavour name you actually want, see which list it sits on, and the device question either answers itself or shrinks to a single trade-off. We stock two sealed disposables made by IGET, the One and the Bar Pro, and this is the route we'd walk a mate through if they asked where to begin. The shop is run independently of IGET; the maker's name is here only because it tells you what the devices are. Everything below is written for adults in Australia, and it deals in titles and listed figures, nothing more.

Start with the name, not the device

The One list holds 23 titles and the Bar Pro list 31. Twelve are on both. That leaves eleven that only the One carries and nineteen on the Bar Pro that the One lacks. So before any figures come into it, you're in one of three positions: the name you want is on both lists, on the One's only, or on the Bar Pro's and not the One's.

Open the One list and the Bar Pro list side by side. Each page splits its titles into the ones the other device shares and the ones it doesn't, which answers the position question at a glance. If you don't have a name in mind yet, read down both for a fruit you already know you like. Most titles simply list their fruit in order, so that's a fair place to begin.

When both lists carry the name

Grape Ice, Strawberry Watermelon Ice, Blackberry Ice, Kiwi Pineapple and Black Forest are among the twelve shared titles. For these, the flavour is settled and only the device is open.

The One is listed at 12,000 puffs with a 2700mAh battery; for the Bar Pro the figures are 10,000 puffs and 2000mAh. Puff figures are the maker's own, measured under test conditions, so use them to compare the two devices rather than as a count you'll reach on the day. Neither device has a charging port. Both are sealed, and each one is done once its puffs are used.

That leaves two plain things to weigh: the higher puff rating on a One, or the smaller spend on a single Bar Pro. Spread across the puffs, the two cost roughly the same, so the real question on a first order is how much you want to put down on a name you haven't tried. If a lower first spend matters more, the Bar Pro makes the natural trial. If you'd rather have the higher rating from one device, take the One.

When only one of the two lists has the name

In that case the device comes with the flavour. Mixed Berries Ice, Mountain Spring Mint Ice and the one-word Strawberry appear only on the One. On the Bar Pro side, titles such as Mango Ice, Peach Ice, Banana Buzz and Strawberry Lychee have no One version. Those statements hold across the two disposable lists on this site and no further; Mango Ice and Peach Ice, for example, are on the S3 pod list too. They describe what you can pick here, not what the maker does or doesn't make.

If one name you like is on each list, you have a real choice to make, and the trade-off above applies. If every name you like happens to be on the same list, there's nothing to weigh.

A first cart, worked through

A single device of a name you've never had is the lowest-risk start, and three singles already reach the first pack tier. Three examples show how that plays out.

Say you know you like grape. Grape Ice is on both lists, so pick its device by the trade-off above. To compare titles in the same order, the Bar Pro's Raspberry Grape adds raspberry, and Chuppa Chupps Grape names grape with no Ice at all. One of each is three devices, and having a One and two Bar Pros in that cart is fine; the tier counts them all.

Say mint is the only thing you're sure of. Each disposable list has exactly one mint title: Mountain Spring Mint Ice on the One and Dynamic Mint on the Bar Pro. Here the flavour choice and the device choice are the same choice. The two names share only the word mint, so buying one of each is a fair way to settle it.

Say peach caught your eye. The One has no peach title at all, so of the two disposables this is a Bar Pro order from the start. Peach Ice names peach on its own, Strawberry White Peach Ice Mist adds strawberry, and Passion Fruit Peach Iced Tea adds passion fruit and tea. A single of each makes three without committing to more than one device of any name.

The pattern repeats: untried names go in as singles, and the one that earns its place is the name to buy several of next time. Every disposable or S3 pod in the cart, whichever list it came from, counts towards the three, five and ten tiers; an S3 Device doesn't.

Why one of each, not five of one

Every disposable here is sealed, and one that has been opened and works can't go back on the shelf. That's why the returns page covers faults rather than a change of mind about a flavour, and it's the whole reason for starting with singles. If a name doesn't suit you, the cost of finding out is one device, not five.

What the short note on a flavour page is

Most flavour pages carry a short section headed What the name tells us. It's our reading of the title: which fruits are listed, whether Ice appears, and what a closing word such as Blast or Bliss is doing there. It isn't a tasting, and it says nothing about how a flavour feels or how long a device lasts. Blue Monster, whose title gives us nothing to read, is the one flavour page without a note.

Your first order, in order

  • Find the name on the One list, the Bar Pro list, or both.
  • If it's on both, choose between the 12,000-puff One and the 10,000-puff Bar Pro: the higher rating or the smaller first spend.
  • If it's on one list, take the device that carries it.
  • Add a single of each untried name, and let every disposable in the cart count towards the pack.
  • Keep the order email, because the exact titles on it are how you'll find them again.

If two names are tugging at you, message us on WhatsApp or by email (the details are on the contact page) and we'll tell you which list each one sits on. That's usually enough to settle it.
